As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.
1 Peter 4:10
An Anthropologist (one who researches different human races) held a competition for the children of one African tribe. He placed a huge basket full of costly sweets under it. The children were arranged to stand at a distance of 100 meters from the tree. The one who run and touches the tree first will be considered the winner and the whole basket of sweets is his prize.
When READY, GO was announced, all the children hold each other’s hand ran together and touch tree at the same time. They took the basket full of sweets and all of them ate happily.
The surprised Anthropologist asked the children why they did it like that. All the children together said, ‘ubuntu’. How can one person be happy when all others are sad? The meaning of the word ‘Ubuntu’ is ‘I am because we are’.
Like these African children, we must also share all our blessings with others. May God bless all of us.
